Maureen has always been highly creative and has a keen passion for interior decorating. Her quick ability to envision the ‘before and after’ eventually led her to transforming her passion into a fulltime business. She has completed hundreds of decorating and renovation projects of all sizes and budgets and has assembled a top quality professional team. Her focus on the customer combined with her ability to consistently deliver on time and on budget continue to make her a highly sought after designer. Maureen takes great pleasure in seeking out interesting and unique finds for Patina while travelling the globe with Boyd.
Living proof that backpacking is fun in more ways than one, Boyd Schomaker first met his wife, Maureen, when travelling through Germany in 1971. In 2006, as Patina’s business continued to grow, Boyd joined forces with Maureen and quickly became an indispensible member of the team. Today he continues to serve as the manager of the Whistler retail store, as well as the administrator for all renovation and design projects. Boyd happily comes down from his “lair” to chat with customers and to offer his own unique spin on design/decor trends or anything related to dogs, hunting, travel or scotch!
Anne moved with her family to Whistler from Toronto in 2013 to embark on a new adventure. She found herself at Patina where her love for interior design, unique and lovely things and helping people all came together. Her advertising experience at home decor magazines plus work as a floral designer and running a jewellery business have given her a valuable business and creative background to assist in the day to day operations at Patina.
Marni is a longtime Whistler resident where she lives with her husband and two kids. Her love of interior design led her to working at Patina where she has hung her hat for almost five years. When not helping out customers or rearranging things at the store she might be found working as a part-time dog-sitter or working on design projects of her own. Marni has recently completed a number of new builds in Cheakamus Crossing.
