- Eagleridge project 2012
In the spirit of spring and the launch of our new website, we’re keeping you in the loop with some of our fresh projects, info on events, and new product at the store.
Here’s one of our current projects in Whistler that puts new meaning into the words ‘spring cleaning’.
The renovations and re-design are proving to be intensive. The drama started when we had to bring in Critter get Ritter, Whistler’s pest control, when we noticed that an army of ants decided to make this their home. Then we noticed a major roof leak and uncovered even more serious damage.
You can see from the photos that there is still plenty of work to be done.
So far, we have torn out the kitchen, repaired the roof leak, installed new cabinets, and gave it a fresh coat of paint.
As you can imagine, the extent of the damage was a surprise to us all and a large portion of the budget went towards restoration.
In the end, we decided to go with faux wood tile floors, neutrals, creamy whites, and chocolate browns for a warm timeless and natural feel.
I’m happy to announce the ants have been evicted and major renovations are in the works. Once the repairs are complete, fresh paint and new furnishings are in, I’m sure the owners will be glad to have their stylish home back to themselves.
The old bathroom plumbing, cabinets, and appliances have all been donated to the Whistler Re-Use-It Centre.
