Maureen Schomaker

President of Patina Home Interiors, Maureen Schomaker has always been highly creative and had a keen passion for interior decorating.  Her strong ability to envision the ‘before and after’ eventually led her to transforming a passion into a fulltime business. Since first opening her doors in 2001, she has successfully completed over 100 decorating and renovation projects of all sizes and budgets. Over the past 7 years, Maureen has assembled a top quality professional team offering a broad range of products and services, as well as an outstanding selection of design resources. Today, her focus on the customer combined with her ability to consistently deliver on time and on budget continue to make her a highly sought after designer.

Boyd Schomaker

Living proof that back packing is fun in more ways than one, Boyd Schomaker first met his wife, Maureen, when travelling through Germany in 1971. In 2006, as Patina’s business continued to grow, Boyd joined forces with Maureen and quickly became an indispensible member of the team. Today he continues to serve as the manager of the Whistler retail store, as well as the administrator for all renovation and design projects.

"The White Knight of Mt.Etna" – Boyd on top of Mt Etna, an active volcano a short drive from Taormina, Sicily. During the winter the local Sicilians snowboard and ski here and the area is famous for it's wine.

With 7 years retail experience, Max serves as a loyal and dynamic companion to the Patina team. Whether serving as the shop’s greeter or focusing on his other, less official role as head of security, he always enjoys his days (and his naps) at Function Junction.
